Rem M7 223

I had the walnut blued version, short barrel...
It wouldnt group worth anything
So it got a benchmark 12 twist stainless barrel and a McMillan stock.
Shoots great now.
Friend of mine has a predator in 204 that was accurate out of the box however.

Unbelievable ! I had the exact same results with the very same rifle.
I took a beating on it when I traded it off and replaced it with a blued T3 with the 8 " twist barrel and it is crazy accurate.... best 3 shot group to date in the ' teens ' with a 4-14 Leupold..

Ha yeah that little 19-20" barrel must have been garbage.
I poured more money into it but really like what I ended up with in the end.
For its first trip to the field, I threw it in the truck on a deer scouting mission. Ended up popping it's cherry on these rascals.
It really likes the fiocchi factory 40 and 50 gr vmax ammo. As does most of my 223's. You should try this ammo if you haven't already.

I knew the original owner who sold it to the fellow you purchased it off of assuming you just picked it up in EE within the last few weeks. I'm going to guess you did.

I'm trying out to be the 3rd hardy boy

Yes i did just purchase it here from EE - its in the mail to me - Do you know if it was a Good Shooter ? OR ? lol RJ

Actually it was never shot by the fellow I know, he went a different route and sold it as new in the box so I cannot comment on that, but I myself am a fairly big fan of remington and any model 7 I have ever shot has always performed so I cannot see this one being any different. Truth be told if I hadve had the money at the time I would've bought this one off my buddy.

Oh well we will soon see ! lol I have 6 M7's Now ! 2 .223's 1- .243 - 1- 7-08- 1- 7 SAUM - 1 - .308 :) RJ

So i received it today and its a Little beauty- I really like that 22 " Fluted barrel too ! Now WHAT to scope use on it ? I will use Talley 1 pc LW rings-bases - I have a FEW scopes to choose from ! Need the trigger to be lightened a HAIR - but thats easy peezy for me - i have done a 100+ of them or i might just install a Timney Calvin Elite in it . :) RJ

Depends what your scope budget is I'd say. I had my 4.5 to 14 Leo crap out on me early this season and sent it in for warranty. To fill the void I put a 4-16 diamondback on it and have been thinking I may have to pick up a couple more vortex scopes.
