rem model 5

I, too have thought that this would be a neat little rifle; unfortunately, it hasn't been in the Remington line for enough years to have been tested completely. It looks like Remington has discontinued all of their imported stuff, so this may be a moot issue anyways.

The model 5 was a big hit in the USA when it was called the Charles daly, these rifles came in a less expensive stock and sold very well. The bluing on these rifles is very nice and they are accurate.
Mine is in a 22mag, great shooting rifle. Not made by Remington, just assembled in the US with the laminate stock. FS
 
I bought a new model 5 youth for my son...no complaints. Nice wood, deep (almost parkerized look) bluing, easy sights for him to learn on. No proplems with the accuracy when I test fired it on some prarie dogs...I could have a new gun in the locker and not shoot it... but had to make sure it worked ya know?
