Rem model 7 and 700

In visual terms, the rear bridge of the M-7 is shorter than the M-700's, the M-7's bolt is about a half inch shorter than a SA M-700's, and the front action screw of the M-7 is under the floor plate, where the M-700's is ahead of the floor plate.

The Model Seven is a short short action. It used to have an 18.5" carbine barrel but I see they've gone for twenty now. Weight was 6.25 to 6.5 pounds soaking wet.

I like the way they handle and point. They let you know that they are light when it comes time to fire them.

I like your handle. I have a model 7 that started as a 7mm-08, had it rechambered to .284 and love it. 20 inch barrel stainless great in the bush and light. Soon to make a 24" model 700 same caliber.
