Rem Nylon 66 Found In Barn

great gun with a great history behind it! the nylon 66 was my favourite .22 out of dads collection, and it was first thing i grabbed when i headed back to my cabin during the great blackout of '03. Power was out at my house, and i couldnt get anything on my car radio at all, so i freaked out and headed for the hills where i had a solar panel and a better radio...

its a good survivalists gun because it needs so little maintenance and its an accurate, fast shooter too!
 
I have three of the 66's now...great little guns... solid black, black and chrome, and green.
They are easy to assemble after doing it once...( I admit, I have the owners manuals and did a Youtube search for the videos just in case I screwed something up).

If you cannot find a local gunsmith, PM me and I will get you intouch with a smith who has done dozens of repairs on these, and has some partguns,regards Dale:wave:
 
I have an 1982 Nylon 66 Remington Black and Chrome and it is a wonderful little firearm. I have disassembled it, cleaned it out thoroughly and reassembled it with reference to the two YouTube videos on how to do this plus the Documents section of www.nylonrifles.com. Just go as far as he says in the video, it's very easy.
I used a little WD-40 (kerosene) and my home compressor and lots of elbow grease and it is just like new. You don't need a gunsmith. I also put a Bushnell 3200 on it for awhile and am having a real hoot. Only a tiny bit of oil is correct. Very good advice in this post with lots of links.
