For some reason the search function never works for me so I'll kindly ask here.

Is the Sendaro all that the advertisement claims ? Is it a precision rifle worth the $1200 +/- price tag out of the box ? I don't have a lot of experience with Rem's but the ones I've had were just fine.

Thanks

What caliber are you after?
The Senderos are great, but there are other options that are also good if you're after a .300 win mag.
XCR tactical, 5R Mil-Spec, Police, are good....no one better than the other really.

I am set up to load 7mm rem mag. So I'd like to stick with that. My goal is a very accurate long range gun I can bang gongs with and also set up in field for deer. I have other guns if I am hiking around all day but the last few years most of my hunting consists of heading out after work and setting up on a field for a couple of hours.

My favourite field is 700 yards accross.

All of this depends on if i can learn how to shoot again. Lately I can't hit the side of a barn. But that's another story. LOL...

I have a Sendero in a 7mm mag. Bought it second hand. Original owner did a bedding job. had the trigger tuned and put a muzzle brake on it. Topped with a Huskemaw scope. Shoots 168 bergers to gongs at 800yds. Haven't pushed it further but am confident that I could.

Its heavy but I don't really plan on taking it for long walks

All the sendero's I have shoot have been very accurate. My 7mm loves 168 bergers and can shoot under 1/2" groups. Where do you live in sask? I may be interested in selling mine. Thinking of a light weight build next.

I had one in 7mm rem mag. I used 168 berger vlds in it and it was a half to three quarter MOA rifle. I used H4831SC powder and Remington primers and it worked really well. It will do great across a 700 yard field.

The Sendaro, the 700VLS, 700 VFFS, the 700P, and the XCR Tactical are all essentially the same rifle with different stock options and different finishes (ie. stainless, blued, fluted).

Its a good platform which has great "potential" for accuracy.

You may get great accuracy, or just decent accuracy (depending on YOUR own expectations).

The good thing is that this platform is highly customizable in steps as you can afford it, or all at once.

I have one of the original Senderos, and of the Sendero II's. I like them, and they have earned thier place in my gun cabinets. One in 7mm Ultra and one in 7mm RM.
