Rem SPS barreled action question

If I was to buy an SPS and loose the stock could I drop the barrelled action into a good BDL stock and have a decent set-up? or is the whole SPS junk?

My SPS stock foreend was stiffened using 1/4 inch aluminum channel epoxied into place, pillar bedded and free floated.

the difference between a bdl and sps is exterior finish. they shoot as well as any rem.

Both my son and I have 700 SPS and they are both in Boyd Stocks. Nice shooting guns and a new stock is a very nice upgrade for the rifle.

A bit OT, but I have found the Savage to Accutrigger much nicer than the stock adjustable Rem one and if I had a choice, I would go Savage just for the trigger, (just say'n)

Sorry, I'm missing this can you expand on this please? are you just talking about the difference in trigger?
Thanks for the other replies - I see lots of stocks and bottom metal for sale from various Rem models so I figure something is going on. By the way - I'm looking for a stock and some bottom metal to turn an ADL into a BDL if anyone's got some - thanks
