If the returned rifle proves to be unsatisfactory, a replacement trigger is just a phone call to Brownell's away. Hopefully the rush is over and the turn around time wlll not be long.
My wife kicked the butt of a lot of big boy shooters here, winning 'hunting rifle' matches with her .243 in off-hand shoot offs against the best. The course of fire was all from field positions, no bench resting allowed. They eventually froze her out by upping the calibre to 6.5 or larger. That ruled out all the interested females.

Then they came out with another match under new management that disallowed rifles over .25 in calibre. It was a 2-person team by draw and it was a lucky man who got paired up with her.

Look at my post! I had a problem trigger. It did it when it was brand new. I never touched the trigger.

Even if you have owned multiple dozens it's still a very small sample size. One person's experience saying it has never happened to them is nothing when we're talking millions of rifles.

I Believe you did - and i had " NOT " quoted you in my statement ! I was just saying my experience with any remington triggers there has NEVER being a problem ! You are right there is prob 1 or 2 problem triggers out there for sure ! Cheers RJ

I had already replaced both my x-mark pros with Timney prior to the recall being issued. One actually was OK, no wobble in the trigger, the adjustment screw actually worked a bit and would lighten the trigger somewhat. Other one was pretty sloppy side to side, adjustment screw did nothing for the pull at all. I asked if I could just send the trigger groups in and Gravel said no prob. Only took a couple weeks, and the 2 that came back were just about as good as the Timneys....no ####. Both tight with no play, and completely adjustable, with a nice clean break. I still don't like the screw sticking out and being able to feel it with my finger, but if they came this good out of the box, I'd probably not have bought the Timney.
