Anyone know who is selling these things? I can't seem to find any. I figured this was a precision kind of factory rifle so here was the place to ask. Thanks fellas.

Hi John,

Remington discontinued this rifle. Don't ask me why, because they were in high demand. They have since re-introduced it as a cutom shop Remington 40X Rangemaster at more than double the price. I seriously think Remington is on drugs some days, between barrels designed by Salvadore Dali to this debacle... I just don't know.

It was an outstanding platform and with the addition of a good barrel, they make an F-Class rifle that is hard to beat.

Thanks bro. No wonder I couldn't seem to find it. I have to agree, not sure what Remington is thinking these days. They probably sent it to the custom shop after seeing the demand and wanted to make the almighty dollar.

I have one in .22-250 that wasn't behaving all that well. Sent it over to Icehunter for a little bit of treatment (he knows more about those things than I do, and has more area to shoot too.) and he managed to get it shooting roughly 1/4" at 100 yards. Once I get the rifle, targets and load data back, I'll post it up.

Fantastic little rifles I had one for Jr and myself and another buddy had one as well, they weren't cheap by comparison to other Remingtons but they were very nice but alas, discontinued. I see on the Savage web site they have something similar.
