At that price range, the only option I can think of is AICS. I've got a Tac21 - it's a well designed system at a decent price.

Some of the other dealers may have stock.

I really liked my tac 21 chassis. It was very well put together and built like a tank

Remember though you have to also add a grips, buffer tube, stock of choice etc

This brings the price up closer to an aics and such. But worth it in my opinion for the modularity

Ok guys, i abandoned the chasis system (for now) and have decided to keep the stock ive got and work it up from there.

bedding - what should i know? should i do it myself (looks simple enough)

scope base - i have a leupold 2 piece base right now, i want to switch to a single piece base and QD scope rings, reason for this is i want to run a 2-7x32 (probably a redfield) for hunting and something a little higher for the range that hits 16+ power and starts at ...maybe 4 or 5 ish
how do i pick a railed base? ive seem some 1moa, 2moa, 0moa....any explanation on how to pick?

is this a bad idea to run 2 different scopes on the same rifle?

for the rings, i was even considering running a Burris Pepr QD mount. i have one on my AR and its nice. any thoughts?

muzzle break, i was going to just get a linear brake unless someone has some other suggestions that will work but also not blast the shooters left and right from me too much.

monopod for the stock - want something adjustable. i may grab a sandbag for now but realy want a monopod eventually.

should i have anything in the action/bolt tuned?

There's also the MAK tube stock (Kevin McDonald)...

No big deal running 2 scopes on the same rifle, but where you'll run into problems is if you run a tapered base to get you out to whatever long range you're wanting to shoot targets at. If you then switch to a regular hunting scope with significantly less internal adjustment and you may have a problem getting the scope to zero. For example, the Bushnell Elite 2-7x32mm has 50 MOA of internal adjustment. If you decide to run a +20 MOA rail that only leaves you 30 minutes to play with. Might work well, might flop. Personally I'd run one scope, say a Leupold 4.5-14x40mm or NXS 3.5-15x50mm or NXS 5.5-22x50mm and just deal with the bit of extra weight while hunting. I have a Farrell +20 MOA base on my Savage LE2B and a custom ATRS +40 MOA base on my M70. Running both scopes (3.5-15x50mm NXS on the 308 and 5.5-22x56mm on the 300 WM) in Nightforce rings. I've never used one of those one piece units but hey, if they're good enough for a Magpul video then they must be good enough for little old me!

Another option would be to run a zero moa base with your hunting scope then get a Near Alpha mount with 20 MOA taper built in for your target scope. Alpha mounts aren't cheap though, but a quality product.

Order an eliseo tubegun stock. Ship it through prophet river. Otherwise, hs precision is good. Choate stocks are good. Boyd's has laminate for bull barrels. All will work. Skim bed one if it has an alum bedding block. Full bed if fibreglass or laminate.
