I do have a Rem700LSS in 270wsm since 2005 which I don't shoot realy often because of the difficulty I have to find ammo localy and ammo price. I realy like this 700 platform, especialy the beautiful laminated stock.
I do hunt deers and I like to shoot target at 100-200m sometimes, nothing serious (just sold my heavy barrel 10TR). I like 308 so much so I would like to do a barrel swap on my 700LSS as it's a short action.
What would I need for this profect?
1- Take off stainless Remington barrel 308 24in 1:12 (175$ at ATRS) but would prefere a 20in 1:10
2- Smaller Bolt face (where can I get this)
3- Internal box magazine would probably works, if not, I open to get the new Magpul 700 mag adapter
Do I miss something? Is it possible to get this job done at a price which is under the price of a new rifle? and where can I get this job well done?
