I was going through an old S.I.R. catalogue from 1987-88 and came across this. I figure that it would interested a few folks.

I see they are stuck on the "clip" terminology.

Born too late...I was 2 years old in '88...gone are the good old days...

I'd pay $1,000 for a semi-auto AKM right now, even with a neutered mag if I could use it...it's too bad.

I remember moose hunting with my Russian AK. Shortest mag's we could find were 20rd's. Think I paid $250 for my first one.

Blaney said they'd be back.

First time I've seen a gun go from non restricted, go prohib, and someone in the position to do it, offer to put it back to NR.

Interesting times.

One wonders what else could be returned to us, with this potential new legislation being passed.

$590 seems pretty high for 88'. I don't know much about prices of guns in 1988, considering I was 1, but they seem to be going for around $800 in the States currently.
Did Canadian dealers gouge the firearm community then too?
