I was going through an old S.I.R. catalogue from 1987-88 and came across this. I figure that it would interested a few folks.

I see they are stuck on the "clip" terminology.

Born too late...I was 2 years old in '88...gone are the good old days...

I still can't get over the prohib, when so many other NR semi-auto's fire the same cartridge...

I have that rifle, that was my first rifle. Good old days.my safe Queen. I hope one day I get to shoot it again.

aarrgh!

makes me regret not getting a bunch of cz858s for $700

Blaney said they'd be back.

First time I've seen a gun go from non restricted, go prohib, and someone in the position to do it, offer to put it back to NR.

Interesting times.

One wonders what else could be returned to us, with this potential new legislation being passed.

Even though I already have a Vz I still want an AK so bad.

I always hate it when someone says, "It will never happen" to getting AK's back and AR's made non-restricted. With that attitude they never will.

The way the used magazine as clip doesn't bother me as much as how it says, "Assault rifle collector" Shot ourselves in the foot with that one.

Generally once a gun goes prohib, it doesn't go back.

Except now the Swiss Arms and 858 have changed the game... There is potential.

$590 seems pretty high for 88'. I don't know much about prices of guns in 1988, considering I was 1, but they seem to be going for around $800 in the States currently.
Did Canadian dealers gouge the firearm community then too?
