remigton 700 trigger problems

hi guys just got a new rem 700 22-250 vsf lefty.problem, trigger set at factory at about 200 lbs.so i adjusuted it down to 3.5lbs. it feels like crap,very rough and creep .i think i did everything right i did several other 700 with no problems.adjusted sear first then overtravel then trigger pull.what am i doing wrong

I've found some of the new triggers from Rem pretty crappy in terms of fit and finish internally. You may have to take it apart and (lightly) polish the contact surfaces, as well as make sure the angles are correct and the edges are sharp. - dan

go back and #### the bolt adjust the sear till it fires then just back it off a bit
and just piss around with the sear screw till its not creepy anymore
just make sure that you can put the saftey on pull the trigger take saftey off and the gun doesnt fire

if it is a brand new gun adjust the trigger so there is lots of travel and dry fire it lots, this essentially polishes everything in place and makes a big difference. do it with all my guns and it really helps.
