Remington 11-87 and 1100 Stocks

Quick question. Are Remington 11-87 and 1100 stocks interchangeable? I think they are.

Yes. As long as they are both the same gauge. 12g and 20g ones are NOT interchangeable.

The forearm from an 1187 will require some sanding at the magazine nut end to fit an 1100. The wood between the mag tube hole and the barrel channel is too thick.

So Darryl is it safe to say that an 1100 forearm would be a bit of a sloppy fit on an 11-87? This doen't really matter to me anyway as I have an 1100, and was looking for a trap stock to fit her, and if I can make an 11-87 fit that's just great.

It shouldn't be as the nut can be tightened up. There could be a slight "roll" of the fore end though.
