Dropped my gun today. Smashed up the charging handle and it popped out. Now, it holds in tight with he big ball detent, but notice on the bottom of the charging handle, a small hole. Is there the large ball on the side and a small one on the bottom of the bolt to hold it in. As of now, the handle can be pulled out with bolt open or closed, with a bit of force. Did I lose the small detent ball on the bottom of the bolt, as the bolt doesnt have one. Is the handle supposed to be able to be pulled out with the bolt forward and back? Any help would be appreciated.

According to your owners manual there is only one detent ball.

Yes. The handle doesn't do the holding while the bolt is back. It only unlocks the bolt lug that mates with the recess in the barrel. The lug is the black thing that protrudes out of the top of the bolt. If the handle goes in with a soft sounding click you're all good. It should take about a 8-10lb pull to get the handle out of the bolt.
