Will an 1100 stock fit an 1187 shotgun?

Would that affect the stock? I looked at the schematics and had a hard time telling if it would or wouldnt.

The 1100 and 11-87 use the same buttstocks and forends. The 11-87 has the gas system changed from the 1100 in order to function reliably with both 2-3/4" and 3" loads of any type without adjustment. Most newer gas operated shotgun designs have this capability.

1100s with 3" chambered barrels don't always work well with 2-3/4" shells.
