Hi folks. I recently acquired an old ( late 60's ?) 1100 . It is a 12 gauge , 2+3/4" gun.
The length of pull is 14" . I believe it is unaltered , because the wood stocks butt is curved , and it wears a hard plastic Remington butt plate that is also curved , with a thin white spacer in between them.
Was this normal length back in the day? Custom ordered that way maybe?
I have quite a few other older shotguns , but this one has the shortest stock in my herd !
I slipped on a Pachmayer Decelerator pad and it fits me a lot better , but I'm not crazy about the look of the slip on pad. I will find a permanent pad for it. Anybody else have an older 1100 with a short stock?
I thought 14+1/4 to 14+1/2 was the norm. Maybe it HAS been shortened?
