I picked up a Model 1100 today at a very reasonable price. It has been Bubbaed with in that the metal has been painted with some very tough paint and the wood painted flat black. The Barrel has ben cut to 20" (seems very well done) Therefore obviously no choke or bead sight. I thought it would make a decent slug/buckshot gun. My question is what sight system to use. I have found a saddle type scope mount and thought of using it with a 4x fixed scope I have, or look for some type of open sight to clamp on the rib. What is the pros and cons of each system? I may just turn around and resell it. What would be a reasonable asking price?

Tru-glo makes that snap on front sight for like $30, much cheaper than having gunsmith do the work... as for resale don't hold your breath on much. The guns arn't worth a fortune in pristine condition, let alone bubba'd. lol

I agree with nathan as to the snap on bead sights. Also PM me if your gonna sell it. I may be interested.
