Hi, just took this rifle on trade & would like to know its value as more than likely will put it up for sale.
Left side of barrel has a "D F" with serial number: 13758 The information I've founds suggests this rifle to be made in July of 1937?
Also has old style weaver scope with mount tapped on side of receiver.
If this rifle is from 1937 it is in very good condition - not sure if possibly the wood and blueing have been redone?
If so, does this have a negative impact on the value?
Look forward to replies to thread or by PM.
Thanks,
Claude

From what I could find the "F" stands for 1937 but the "9" should actually be a letter to indicate month??

It might be worth more from what it was if the stock finish and bluing was quite rough/worn but yes it will be worth less than a nice original example.

Mr. kamlooky if you require more pleasure just say the word and I can add more pics :)
Look forward to more feedback.
Thanks,
chevy

If it was a Winchester Model 61 I'd say go for it.
Not sure what the following is on these.
For a collector, I think that the side mount and the tattoo it would
leave in the receiver might knock it down a level or two.

U.S. of A. prices don't usually cross over to our playing field.
As far as the stock being refinished or not, I can't say.
