Guys, thank you all for the information so far. I now have a few more questions regarding smokeless loads.
According to the information here, I cannot run 45 Colt brass in the converter, correct?
If run 44 Special or 44 Mag brass in the converter, loaded with a 45 cal, 250 grain bullet at 750fps, would this be hard on the frame?

Ok, I get it. No smokeless powder!
Back to cases. I can run "any" case in the conversion cylinder as long as it is not on the list? 45 Scofield, 44 Russian, etc? Shortened 454 Cassul?

If it is a .45 Colt cylinder, you're pooched.

The cylinder is not marked. That is why I am asking...
Just looking for some clarification on what can and can't be done.

If it will chamber .45 Colt, I would suspect that antique status will be lost.
