I have a .45LC Taylor & Co tuned 1875 about 45 days out.... As usual it all started with me buying ammo, components and dies for a firearm that I don't yet own, even my wife is on to this not so subliminal move ;) Anyways, I have no intention of trying to make this wheelgun a barnburner but how heavy of a load would you push thru this rig occasionally to wake up a loved one but not batter the revolver into early retirement?

I run substantially different 44mag loads thru my Model 29 than my Redhawk, thinking the 1875 will be along the lines of the 29 with the lighter side, but I am entirely new to this platform...... Thanks for any and all info! I wanted a Ruger New Army for all my adult life, hoping this will fill the need with a lot less fuss.

I have a couple of Ubertis in 45 Colt and have had no issues using manual loads in any of the guns. With modern steels the gun should perform well with any published 45 Colt that is within the limits of SAMMI specs. I run 7.5 grains of Unique under my cast 255 gr bullets with no ill effect. It is a comfortable load capable of penetrating my cardboard targets with great effect.

Take Care
