Remington 1911R2

Has anybody heard anything about these? I was flipping through a gun-rag at the store and saw a tiny picture of a stainless/railed remington 1911 with an AAC suppressor attached.

Im positive it was an R2, as the large remington R (and a tiny 2) stood out.

Just curious.

Word on the street is that it is a prototype at the moment - as it can also be found on AAC's Facebook page. I'm hoping for a full production, but like their GPiston replacement upper, there is no word on when try will go full swing. I have my fingers crossed because I want a railed project for when I'm done with this 1991a1.
