Remington 22 lr Nylon 66

When the 66 is fired, the breech opens, just as with any other blow back .22. The empty casing is ejected. As the bolt reaches the rearmost portion of its travel, a cartridge release is tripped, and the next round in the magazine is propelled foreward by the magazine follower, starting right into the chamber. The bolt doesn't pick it up and push it in - the bolt closes behind the round, which is already pretty much chambered. In a safe place, hand cycle the action, and see if this is happening, crisply and cleanly. If not, this may be where the problem lies. The cartridge release is a little square "U" shaped piece, retained in grooves in the magazine housing, inserted from below.
Problem with paying a smith to fix it is that it could take a bit of time fiddling with it, in order to find out what is wrong, and the meter is running. And mailing it to a shop could cost $15 each way.

My dad has one in like new shape and would like to get a clip for it but we don't know where. Annyone know where to find a new one?
