Remington 41P info wanted

Can anybody tell me the type of insert required for the front sight on a Remington 41P? The Lyman 17A set does not seem to fit the slotted front hood. My hood requires a smaller diameter than a 17A set (0.475) , did Lyman make smaller Dia. inserts?

those inserts were made by remington and are very hard to find.
you could try rimfirecentral.com,remington section and do a search for m41p front sight inserts.
they have a ton of info over there.

Yes they are hard to find, this guy will make them up for around $18 for each style you need.
