remington 504.browning tbolt[new model].ruger 77/22.

Wouldn't touch a Rem 504 or a Ruger 77/22 with a ten foot pole.
The T-bolt doesn't seem to be available yet. For the money they want for it, I'd like to see a few glowing reviews.

To add on to what "Slash5" said, from what I hear, the 504's and the 77/22's are hit and miss; you might get a good shooter, you might not. The goodside is, Lilja makes drop in barrels for both these guns, which would make them excleent shooters.

You might want to check out the cz452 or 453; they are great guns (and cost less money then the ones you listed)
cz452shooter.the 453 looks interesting .would you know anybody who actually has one..?

The 453 is getting pretty stellar reviews on rimfirecentral.

I think both the remington and the rugers are overpriced for what they are. The 452 is definately the best bang for the buck for quality 22 bolt actions. Well actually I think the savages are best bang for the buck but the cz's have a much nicer fit and finish.

Check out www.rimfirecentral.com/forums. Then scroll down to the CZ section. A lot of guys seem to like their 453's, with the set trigger; and there are others who think your money is better spent on the 452 and then just add a "brooks" trigger kit. Either way the CZ 452/453 line of rimfires will last a lifetime. My 452 has served my perposes great! Its my go-to hunting gun :t

If you compare and handle the CZ 452 American to the 504 I'm sure you'll pick the CZ hands down. Get a Brooks trigger kit and your done. I have 2 in 22 and 17HMR and love them both. Down side you'll want a Brno next and there not cheap or easy to find-----Cowboy

Cant recommend any of the above

My buddie bought a 504 target, really nice looking rifle, fits well,If you void the warranty you can have a nice trigger. this rifle cost almost 1000.bucks after tax and shipping and the chamber is too tight for most ammo to feed and extract properly, the trigger needs to be adjusted out of the box, it had some serious burrs on the back of the bolt shroud that had to be removed, and the action really should be bedded, Now it my belief that a 1000$ rim fire should need nothing out of the box,so I cannot recommend the Remington. I have yet to see a t bolt, the rugers are said to be great rifles but they use the same barrel clamp as the 10-22 which is a shame in my book if it had the barrel and receiver threaded together I would buy one but it doesn't so I wont. Sorry I couldn't help much but I would have to say wait and see what the T-bolts turn out like they do look promising.

I bought the 504, and get 4 inside 3/4" at 50 metres. There is a slight rub on the fore end, and I will try a few judical strokes with sandpaper wrapped around a dowel. I have tried Fed Gold medal, CCI Green Tag, as well as Winchester and Federal Hi-vel.
I am still thinking of getting the CZ 453.

I've got a T-bolt, as do several others. Do a search, and you'll find my review on it. I was in a similar situation as well. Not with the T-bolt, I love mine. rather, I decided I wanted a new .22 to go with it. my choices were the 504, the 77/22, the CZ 452 or the Kimber Hunter. I ended up with the CZ. I'll tell you, it's a sweet shooter. The Remington just didn't feel right, and almost toyish. The 77/22 felt good, but I was to scared to try it, as I've heard some real horror stories. And the Kimber, well, it was a beautiful gun, but I still don't feel it's worth double what the CZ is worth. My American, delivers 1/2 groups with bulk ammo, and just feels right when your carrying it. But I won't bad mouth my Browning either. It shoot's ok, feels great and is an absolute pleasure to hunt with.

how about the new weatherby bolt action 22. made in germany .thats the one that interests me.
