remington 504 use 597 mags?

Will the Remington 504 accept 597 magazines?

I know it's a goofy question but when the gopher hunt comes around it'd me nice not to have to pull mags all the time with a 30rd.

Before anyone says it... I don't want a 597, I want to keep the bolt action.

Anyone ever try?

No, I asked and there is a slight difference. Unless the manufacturer of your 30 rounder can make the mods . . .

Crap... the flush mags are beautiful for the range and a quick shoot. But if you want to walk the field for an afternoon it'd be nice not to have to reload.

I imagine the 597 mags will still fit in the mag well? I wonder if I could just file a notch in for the 504 catch?

Maybe i should not worry about it and just use the 2 mags I have?
