So what is the scoop on a Remington 547.
I received an e-mail from Remington Yesterday, And checked "Premier Dealer Exclusives". It sure does look Pretty.
Who can tell me if this is a USA only rifle. I thought it might be something from the Custom Shop. No reply back from Remington.

This is the next generation M504 Rimfire rifle. They are actually custom shop 22's with the upgrades mentioned, and are reputed to be a very fine rife. I have a 4000+ serialed M504, and it is very accurate in it's own right, but has the Remington barrel on it. The 504/547 has a massive action for a 22 rimfire, and should respond well to the tune up work done at Remington. The price is another matter. Regards, Eagleye.

Me thinks I will reconsider my order I was going to put in for a new T-Bolt Target/Varmint model .22 and see how these play out if and when they become available.
Just may be a spot for one in my gunsafe.:D

Sell the pice of S&$@ and get a real gun I had one it turn into a single shot it would jam on evey shot:mad:

The 547 looks like a nice rimfire.
I'm not sure what the price is though. I like Remington but.... if the price is too high there are other alternatives. The Kimber for example offers a guarantee of .40 or less at 50 yards for 5 shot groups. Of course there is also the Cooper and the legendary Anshutz rifles. Lots of choices. If the price isn't too high on the Remington it would be nice rifle.

These rifles feel quite nice in the hands, and point naturally for me. If I want to upgrade my 504, it will get a Lilja 22 barrel, but as it stands right now, it is shooting well enough to have me believe it should work great as is. It is not really broken in yet, and is under .5 at 50 with some quality ammo, so I'm hoping to see even better as time goes by. Regards, Eagleye.

Wholesale cost is around $900.00 USD, so with markup and taxes, it would appear that this is not an inexpensive plinker!! With what I have in my 504, I can buy a Lilja barrel and still be ahead of that price. Hmmmmm, maybe!! Regards, Eagleye.
