i have the Speedmaster which is the Semi auto version of the same rifle. The model I have is the BLD. I am a big fellow and I like the full size feel of these Rem 22's. How much does the guy want for the one you are looking at?

The fellow bought the rifle as a gift, one thing has led to another and he wants to sell it. He's asking the same price as wholesale sports minus the tax and claims to have put roughly 100 rounds through it. His price $640 maybe $630 he jumps back and forth. I am a taller person and like the feel of a full size rifle as well and it seems that this particular rifle is hard to come by or at best not very common. So, new or used, what do you think? Six to one half-dozen the other?

I have a 572 Fieldmaster and my wife has a 552 Speedmaster semi . Both are beautiful shooters . Our shooting buddy has a 10/22 with custom stock , custom barrel , custom internals, blah, blah ,blah and we consistantly outshoot him every time we go out . I'd say go for it although I do think the price is a wee bit high . Good luck .
