You can start with a good cleaning, and make sure the little gas vent holes in the barrel are not all carboned-up. A rough or pitted chamber and cheap promo (steel based) shells are also a recipe for problems. Pay particular attention to the piston and gas chamber areas.
Is it the original or a replacement barrel ?
58's will run forever if looked after, and generally, are very reliable.
As often as not, the receiver will need to be relieved with a milled slot
so it wont crack behind the cocking bolt slot - if it isn't already !)
( Look at the difference between the milled slots in a 58 and an 1100/11-87)
Might be worth a trip to the 'smith if a good cleaning isn't enough.
Maybe time to replace a spring or two, bolt buffer, etc.
