I see that Cabelas in Edmonton has the Remington 597 HB with a 16" barrel and a green synthetic stock on the shelf for $239.99. Anyone have one of these and are they very accurate considering it only has a 16" barrel? They do kinda look cool because the gun is so short.
 
I saw this in their flyer and I'm kind of curious too. I would assume that the short, stiff barrel would help accuracy. Anyone shot one?
 
Well I can't say that o have one either but, I will be ordering the one in A-TACS camo with the threaded barrel once they make it up here!!!
 
i have the acc-sd with the 16.5" barrel and love it accurate to 100 yards (for a semi) at 50 yards with a red dot its fast accurate and deadly in the bush, switched to a 3x9 by 40 for groundhogs at 100 plus but practice practice practice

I just picked one of them up a few weeks back. So far with the barrel floated it's shooting around 1/2" at 50 yards with Rem subsonics and Eley yellow box. Quite happy with it.

iwent in to buy bradley smoker pucks and walked out with my 597 not sure what happened but im glad i did! at about 5000 rds of blazer no problems
