Remington 597 HMR Guide Rod Springs

Has anyone replaced the dual guide rod springs with single higher tension spring on their 597 magnums?

About 20% of recovered (80% recovery rate) spent cases are exhibiting "bulged bases" I've had a couple split necks as well. Since the HMR ammunition is pretty standard could one tweak the guide rod springs so they exhibit a bit more force in keeping the bolt closed longer while still providing reliable cycling. Where would be a good place to start?

I've heard some HMR cases were doing that. AFAIK there's nothing you can do about it, it's the ammo not the gun.Try a newer batch.
