I'm looking for the highest quality Remington 597 magazine available.

The mags I've used in the past would jam if there were any more than 5 rounds loaded.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

I use two promag clear plastic 22round ones and have never had an issue.
Bought the gun and mags used and have no idea what the round count on them is but expect them to be well used.

The heavy duty mags from keepshooting in the US are the best mags I own for the 597, very reliable. They used to ship to canada dont think so anymore.

That said, my standard factory mags and 30 round mags work flawlessly in my 597 because of one simple upgrade. The Exact Edge Extractor. This is the best upgrade you can make to the 597 and it costs $20.

Hi, is it the standard 10 shot factory mags you are having an issue with? I have one to sell, but if you want a 20 round mag this won’t do.

It's worthwhile polishing the 10 round factory metal mags with a little metal polish. It smooths the surface nicely. Also, I think the mag springs have to go in a certain way which tips the follower up a bit for better clambering of a round.

I've had 2 Promag magazines and they were crap. Jamo.atics!
