I saw the Remmy Yellow Jacket picture and I like it, I went to check it out
the grip doesn't fit my hand right and the trigger is a bit too far away ....
I decided to start one up with a laminated European birch and copy a pistol
grip of my CZ75 and the angle as well, perhaps next time I should copy a
1911 grip .... something different. Place the inletting of the trigger housing
closer to the grip. Installed VQ hammer & extractor, eliminating problems
with choosing ammo's, works with all.
Now it's almost finished, just got to add some more true oil to it ....

Looks good! I was actualy thinking of making my own stock for my 597 but I'd go with more 'tactical' look....

btw where did you get the wood?

Thank you, Gents.
It was a join effort with my friend, we've been doing all kinds of stock for
airguns. The wood can be found on a couple outlets in GTA, that one was
from exotic wood store. It's all done by hand, well almost all, since that one
is the first one. The only special tool is the mortising machine for inletting
and palm sander. We also built a copy carver machine.

2) I just heard that Eagle is out of business? Does anyone else make hi-cap mags for the 597?

Thanks.

Where did you here this? ( http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205792 ) There is a guy in the UK that is making a metal high cap www.597mag.com I believe.

Sorry about the 'jack.

Why don't you remove the irons? Cleaner look IMO, plus you've already removed the rear notch and those aren't see through mounts..

Oh yeah and as previously mentioned... awesome looking stock!

What did you use to paint those Eagle Mags? Does the finish hold up to use?

While I've never liked the looks of the "baracuda" stock. I have to say nice job. I definately like the looks of the pistol grip that you did.

I wish I had the skill to make something like that.

Thank you, Gents and Happy New Year.

daroccot : I heard that problem with Eagle about a couple months ago
that some Canadian suppliers were having problem contacting them. Especially
products were paid in full but nothing showed up.
Yes, those sights will be removed like my other 597, as soon as I come up
with a nice muzzle brake.
The black finish on the mag. is truck bed liner. It's very tough coating.

Epoxy7 : The grip was a trace copy of CZ75. This first one took along time
to make, it's just the prototype and I'll be using it for the competition.
The next one perhaps it'll be easier to make since the template is already
done, perhaps there will some minor changes to it.
