So i blew a case a little while ago and my extractor went flying but i managed to find the plunger and spring. Just got a new extractor but when i went to replace it i also noticed that the "hold open" spring on the trigger housing is mangled and the "hold open" piece is flopping around.
I put everything back together without the spring and cycled a couple of snap caps through it. It seems to be working just fine now. Do I really need this spring, or am I going to be spending the evening bending paper clips to make a new spring?
