Ive seen the Remington VTR, but cant seem to find any kits to dress an old 597 in it.

I am aware of the Archangel stock (which seems to be sold out mostly everywhere), but is there any other options for a tactical-style stock?

If so, where to order from? Or is it possible to order from the US? I've heard of the <$100 and it's all good for for shipping from the states from licensed persons.... I've found some of the Archangels for $94-130, will this pass through or that $14 make a huge difference?

Ill be heading down to the states in the middle of the month, is there a way to LEGALLY purchase a stock and bring it back through with me?

Don't know about bringing importing, but, there are other stock options:
Of course, the ProMag Archangel; but other than that there isn't a lot of other options, stock wise. 10/22s- a lot more options.

I know the 10/22's options seem to be endless and I would have loved to pick one up, but the going prices for USED ones are ridiculous to say the least, and new seem to be as hard to find as unicorns.

The 597 popped up with a great price I couldnt refuse, so here I sit. I was actually able to track down an Archangel kit for a great price and ordered it and some 30 round mags for a steal, but was hoping it would have a vast aftermarket world too. Ahh well, cant have it all!

Maybe after things calm down a bit, the "supply and demand" pricing will work its way back down to norm and Ill pick up a 10/22 to add to the collection.

I'll give this a try, never posted pics before.

That's a Remington mag, it's the only one out of 3 I own that works with that gun. The other 2 and this one work great in my other 597. Can't figure it out for the life of me, but I've got 5 stock 10rnd mags that I take rabbit hunting and keeping the squirrels out of my gazebo.....
That 's what the flashlight's for, flying squirrel are an issue around here.
