remington 597 vtr question

Anyone know if the 597 vtr with the factory installed quad rail and collapsible stock was ever available in Canada? If not, anyone know if the factory fore end on the non quad rail version has an aftermarket quad rail option? I'd like to pick one up but like the look of the quad rail version a lot better.

I bought mine when they first came out dont know if the quadrail version is available. mine had fixed stock with standard free float fore end. any AR15 stock is compatable but you will have to change the barrel nut, I put a 7" quadrail on mine.
