Remington 597 vtr

The 597 VTR isn't hard to strip down, its just time consuming. Next time I'll run all of those screws with air and just break loose and tighten them by hand.
Rimfire Sports is my business of choice for VQ parts. I put the hammer and extractor in the 597 because I wanted to and not to remedy any problems.
My particular rifle is reliable, very accurate and a ball to shoot with either a Trijicon clone or Tasco Red Dot.
If you want to mod your rifle then buy a 10/22. If you just want to shoot then get a 597 VTR and put the $140 +/- you save into ammo.

I have one and Ive had nothing but problems with it, and remington has had it for over 2 months on a factory repair with a sear problem.
