Remington 700 22-250 Long Action

What would the pros and cons be to building a 22-250 on a long action Remington 700?

pro- if you have the action already, you save $.

Con- heavier, longer bolt throw, may not feed properly...

It would work if you ran a short action mag box and follower and put some kind of spacer behind it to hold it in the forward position in the recevier cut out....

Just build a 6.5x55 on the long action and get a short action for the 22-250.

In theory the short action would be stiffer and preferable for cartridges that will fit, such as the 22-250, that's why the 700 short action is in such demand.
