I like Remingtons more then most. Finding minty ones from the 70’s and 80’s makes me happy.
^ That rifle is exactly like my 1980 M-700 ADL, including the cheesy gloss stock with the Monter Carlo cheekpiece and the hard plastic butt plate.
Mine has morphed.
I have hunted hard with my old ADL, snapped the stock in two on a moose hunt, when we were pulling a bull out of the bush. Rifle jumped out of the trailer, sling caught on antler point and the stock ended up dropping in front of the trailer... I can still see that like yesterday!
So the stock got replaced a couple of times.
Currently it is in a Wildcat Composite stock. Got Williams bottom put in so the blind magazine is gone.
If you want to see wear on bolt jeweling, this rifle is the poster boy. I make no apologizes, this rifle has hunted hard and accounted for a lot of big game.
This has always been a great rifle. Still is, wear be damned.

M-700 Sendero in the background, the old ADL is in front, evidence of wear on the paint of the stock.

Williams bottom floorplate.

Wear on the bluing of the bolt
