Remington 700 barrel on a Remington 721 action?

So.............can a Remington 700 barrel, or actually a barrel threaded to fit a Remington 700 action, be put on a Remington 721 action?

I have a heavy .23 calibre barrel that I would like to have made up into one of c-fbmi's creations, and I have a potential donor in a 721.

What's the scoop?
