Remington 700 bdl 300 ultra mag feeding issues

I have a 300 ultra mag that has one feed rail that is cracked and the gun won’t feed properly would I be able to install a mag conversion and file away the damaged feed rail and make the rifle work properly or am I looking at replacing the whole receiver is there a fix for this?
 
I’m not sure I had a barrel made for it and the action trued it shoots Awsome but every shell on the right side would always jam or the shell would not line up into the chamber never even noticed the feed lip was damaged must of happened when they put the barrel on Maybe I don’t know what else would cause it
 
I have used a factory DM kit in a 700 BDL .300WM with success. You may or may not have to file the feed rails.

However, I don't believe the 300 RUM will fit in a factory DM, not sure what is available for aftermarket DM.
 
the factory mag is 3.6 long. fits an ultra mag. i just tried a 7rum feeds fine from the factory magnum mag.would solve your issue.
