The muzzlebrake is uber-noisy, adds length to the barrel, usually making it ungainly.
Looks like h*** hanging there on the end of the barrel.
If you shoot it lying prone and there is loose dirt on the ground, it will raise a dust-storm.
Unless it is a 338 Win Mag or heavier....absolutely unecessary.
Even those heavier kickers can be tamed in more benign ways.
