Remington 700 BDL

My Dad owns the same rifle, Rem. 700BDL, left hand, 7mm Rem. Mag. He bought his used, also, back in the '80s, IIRC. It's a beautiful rifle. Someday I'll pick myself up the same rifle/caliber, just in a right hand configuration. It's very accurate, especially with handloads. Then again, any rifle shoots better with handloads. I say go for it!

I've owned a Model 700 BDL DM in .35 Whelen for 1 1/2 years and killed 5 big game animals with it. I really really like it. The adjustable trigger pull and nice crisp trigger, I would have to say are what I like best about the Model 700.

Rem 700 BDL...

Personally, I like Rem 700 BDL rifles... and with the introduction of the new Rem 700 SPS prices on used BDL's has come down somewhat.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

well l hope tod bartell doesnt read this, but their one of the best shooting factory rifles l have ever owned, and maybe thats why l have 5 of them ,two are the older blues stainless which l can say will shoot better than l can hold them, you wont be dissapointed

I've owned a ton of blued/walnut 700 BDL's, at least 30 of them in various calibers...some I didn't even shoot but the ones I did were always accurate...even more so after a trigger adjustment, barrel floating and glass bedding...the only one I have here now in it's original configuration is a lefty in 243.
I've had a lefty 700 BDL in 7Mag...sold it to a friend who shot it and then made a 416 Taylor out of it...some days he wishes it were still in 7mag because it shot so well....

for $450 I'd grab it.

Rem 700

Hi, I have had a few over the years. They are accurate rifles and classy looking in my opinion. I have owned in the past a 7mm mag and the 300 Weatherby.

The ones currently in the safe are an 8mm mag and a .308 heavy barrel. The 8mm mag is my favorite and will never leave here.

Now if they were to only be as accurate as my 788's :D ;)

bdl barrel floating

I would shoot any BDL rifle before sanding off the factory pressure point, I have a Rem 700 in 7x57 that shoots better without the pressure point and a 243 that shoots better with it, go figure!!

they are all good, i have had old, new, the hated j lock they all work fine, i used to remove the pressure bump, in the front of the stock, the last one i left in and experimented it works fine with it in , 5/8 inch groups at 100 yds, wade,
