So I finally got to shoot my sendero today for the first time. Awesome gun but when I try to load a shell the bolt is extremely stiff to close almost to the point I feel the bolt would break. Is it super stiff because it's new or is this something I should get looked at. Or does anyone have any experience with this issue that has a resolution? Thanks

The chamber might be more on the tight end or it is possible the factory ammo specs or lot is a bit on the large size. Might try some other factory to see if same thing happens.

If it was hand loaded, there are a number of reasons. If is factory (assuming you bought the right ammunition) then I would not shoot this, you may have a pressure issue which could end badly. Bring it to a gunsmith and have it looked at right away. That person will get it sorted out. Maybe have the action trued up while it's there if it needs it.

It cocks on opening so the resistance is due to forcing the cartridge into the chamber. I assume you cleaned the rifle out and there is no crud in the chamber. A small amount of grease ( a little goes a long way)on the bolt lugs might alleviate things as the metal may be galling especially if its stainless steel.

What does the bolt lift like after fireing . A set of caliper and some measurements on unfired and fired brass will give you some insight into chamber size .

I wondering if the freebore could be too little and your forcing buleets into the lands. Try marking the bullets with a jiffy marker and see its contacting the lands.

Sounds like you've fired it ? If you have brass try to chamber the fire formed brass and see if the neck crimps or what . I had a rifle that had a short neck had to trim the brass 10 thou below spec. I wouldn't shoot it any more though
