Remington 700 Carbine?

Gentlemen: I just purchased a Remington Model 700 Carbine in .30-06 from a very respected Gunnutz member. Can anyone tell me about this gun? Remington's history section makes no mention of the 700 being offered as a carbine. Is it a standard long action when it comes to accessories? ie: scope bases, replacement stocks etc. Any insight would be appreciated. The barrel is 20" with looks to be late '60's style sights.

as far as I know, the Rem 700 action hasnt changed since its introduction in the early 60s, with regards to scope mounting, stock fit, etc
