Hello,

Just saw this limited edition 700, the CDL SF in 7mm Rem Mag out for 2012. Its got a stainless action, 24" fluted barrel and comes with a walnut stock. I can't find anymore info on it then this, does anyone have personal experience with this gun? Anyone got any pictures of it? I am familiar with 700's, just would like to hear some feedback before I go ahead and spend the dough on this one.

I was also thinking of swapping the walnut stock to synthetic with a detachable magazine, any idea of what the best stock would be that fits this?

Thanks michaelk

The fluted barrel is a typical magnum contour barrel and balances the rifle like a dream. It'd be right at home in a McMillan or Bell and Carlson stock. The floorplate is a tacky arrangement and also bad for the faux stainless finish flaking off. That being said the finish on the floor plate is a moot point for me, and by the sounds of it you too as you want to go to a detach mag anyways.

I'd say go for it :D
