No, you don't have to loctite the barrel. As long as the machining has been done well all you need to do is put some grease on the threads or anti(never)seize and torque the barrel on to between 75 to 100 foot pounds. I use 75 on my match rifles and never had one come loose. Most bench rest guys just hand tighten their barrels on BTW.

sometimes I do my short range br barrels to 85-90 but 75-100 is very good info
