Not sure about 223 (pretty skinny) but I have a few HS Precision set-ups that work pretty good on 22-250 .243,and 308. 4 and 10 round mags availabe in short action. Not cheap though. I got mine from Midway USA years ago, not sure about a Canadian dealer now.
Only complaint is that the mag release is a little small to work with gloves on. Also you have to load the cartriges near the front to feed 100%, at the back they pop up sometimes.
Other brands out there too, Badger Ordinance, Accuracy Int. Not 100% sure of those 2 brands but if you check out some long range 308's in the precision section, lots of them have mag set-ups. Big mag releases too.
