Remington 700 Mountain SS muzzle size ?

Anyone know the Remington 700 Mountain SS muzzle size ?

Is it .600" or .665" ?

Read that it's Remington #1 contour, some sites list that as .665". However, from a different 700 model I have suspect it's more likely .600".

Hoping to get a Mountain SS down the road a bit.

I don't have one handy but I would think .600 or smaller

I have one. Can measure again later, but I am 90% sure it is .550". It is definitely smaller than .600"

If you're curious about weights here are mine, measured on an accurate scale.

Rifle in 7mm08: 6 lbs 5.3 oz, B&C stock = 34 oz. I replaced with a Wildcat finishing at 19.8 oz, rifle now weighs 5 lbs 7.1 oz.

Just moments ago was searching Remington Mountain's on here and was admiring yours. Really nice rifle cam1936.

I was going to mention .550 but the #1 contour listed on a review is throwing me off.

Wow, can't imagine a barrel smaller than my unidentified 700 with a .600.

Just made me want a Mountain SS even more cam1936.
