Hey guys my SPS recoil pad is starting to gum up, and with the recent recall I entered my Serial and although recall wasn't needed I got 20% off the Remington shop, So I guess im going to order a New Remington Pad.

Whats the go? my sps has a R3? pad I think, nice an soft, gummed up after 5 years though.

What is pick of the bunch?

Thanks
WL

Looks like its either R3 or Supercell option.

thanks

I didn't realize that Remington was now offering a choice, but I did a search and found some info:

From the above, it looks like the Supercell is the newer pad, and has better longevity. My Remington 700 with R3 went sticky as well, but I replaced it with a grind-to-fit Pachmayr Decelerator and would not go back to anything else. The Decelerator just seems like a much more durable pad, but still provides a good level of comfort.

Grind to fit Pachmayer Decelerator pad is my choice. I have never seen on go hard or gummy... and they look good too.

Great!, I put one on a 700 and one on a newer model 7. They were both CDL wood stocks and fit absolutely perfect. Couldn't be happier, plus they don't grab your jacket when you go to shoulder like the rubber R3 pad did.
