Remington 700 scope base advice

Hey guys,

I mounted my sps tactical in a AICS 1.5 and I find the cheek weld kind of awkward.
It seems like it would be better if the scope was higher, I am already using "high" weaver rings.

Anyone running a similar setup that could offer some advice on a solution?

My first suggestion would be to make sure that your getting a proper cheek weld. Even if your not a new shooter, close your eyes and get into your shooting position then without moving your head open your eyes and see what you get (try to lay your face on the stock with the same amount of pressure that you would with a pillow). If there's no change then there's higher rings available. I know that badger makes rings designated as "extra-high" but check the specs compared to the ones you currently have to be sure.
